The 2008 California St Jamboree weight pulls were held on February 15, 2008 and February 17, 2008.  Paul Bodeving acted as judge. A big THANK YOU to Paul Bodeving for judging our pulls, and who made it  possible by driving all the way  from Oregon, bringing his weight pull cart.  Paul did a wonderful job and was very helpful in training the new pullers on how to pull, as well as explaining procedures to the spectators and new pullers.  Helping with the weight pull were James Hunter, Milo Jeffers, and Tom Brown as brakemen and loading the weight pull cart and Becky Bodeving and Walter Jackson as score keepers.  Steve Ailshier, who also supplied the bricks, and Christopher Whiting helped set up and take down the equipment.  We were very honored to have Conformation Judge Max Russ from Germany assisting in our weight pull at Sunday's weight pull.  He did a wonderful job overseeing the dogs in the chute.

We had perfect weather for pulling with temperature in the high 50's and low 60's.  Four dogs pulled for the first time.  Unfortunately we had no dogs with qualifying legs, but two dogs stopped just INCHES from pulling legs towards their titles,  Elite who had never pulled before this weekend (she was awesome to watch when she "got it"), and Roxy. All the dogs and handlers did a GREAT job.

We would like to thank the Jamboree Committee, our judge Paul Bodeving, Max Russ, Steve Ailshier, Tom Brown, James Hunter, Milo Jeffers, Christopher Whiting, Becky Bodeving, Walter Jackson, Bill Buell, and all who participated in our weight pull as participants and spectators.
